This study aims to analyze how the habituation of religious values at SDN Tempurejo 5 shapes learning ethics and drives students' academic excellence. The phenomena of moral degradation and the challenges of globalization require educational institutions to focus not only on cognitive achievement but also on strengthening spiritual character as a behavioral foundation. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, which were subsequently analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model.
The results indicate that religious habituation is implemented through an internalization mechanism encompassing moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. Through consistent religious routines such as Quranic recitations, congregational prayers, and the "5S" culture (Greet, Smile, Salute, Polite, and Courteous) the school has successfully established a "habitus" that renders etiquette and discipline as automatic behaviors. Furthermore, the findings reveal that religiosity drives academic excellence by enhancing self-regulation and mental readiness (mindfulness). Spiritual activities are proven to reduce learning anxiety and improve student focus. Transcendental motivation, which frames learning as a form of worship, fosters high resilience and self-efficacy, cultivating a "champion mentality" that is both tough and humble. The synergy between ikhtiar (effort) and tawakal (trust in God) at SDN Tempurejo 5 creates a healthy and dignified learning ecosystem. This study concludes that the robust integration of religious values into school culture serves as a primary engine for producing a generation that is both intellectually superior and morally upright.
