Implementasi Ekstrakurikuler Tahfidzul Qur’an dalam Internalisasi Nilai Karakter Qur’ani pada Generasi Alpha

Abstract

Generation Alpha faces complex moral challenges due to the massive penetration of digital technology from an early age. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Tahfidzul Qur'an extracurricular activity as a systematic effort to internalize Qur'anic character values ​​among Generation Alpha at MA Al-Falah Wuluhan, Jember. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed inductively using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model.

The results show that MA Al-Falah synchronizes tahfidz methods through a Digital-Visual Tahfidz Framework that includes audio-visual integration, gamified murojaah (recitation), and visual tadabbur (recitation). These findings demonstrate that technology functions as a cognitive scaffold that strengthens memorization retention while training students' deep focus amidst the distractions of instant content. The values ​​of shiddiq (honesty), amanah (trustworthiness), and sabar (patience) are internalized as "ethical software" (mental firewalls) that fortify students against cyber anomie, cyberbullying, and instant behavior. Furthermore, a synergistic ecosystem is created through the role of parents as "Guardians of Muruwwah" who align values ​​at the madrasah and at home.

This research concludes that memorizing the Quran in the digital era is not merely a cognitive activity, but rather an adaptive social engineering strategy. This model offers a prototype for future character education that reconciles intellectual-technological needs with existential-spiritual strengths. Through this approach, Generation Alpha can grow into individuals who are both high-tech and high-touch, digitally adept while maintaining a strong spiritual anchor.
